In this study, heavy metals (HMs) accumulation and biomarker responses in Lumbricus terrestris (LT) collected from Kolo Creek, Bayelsa State Nigeria, were evaluated. Composite soil and LT samples were collected from one control (Otuoke) and two experimental (Imiringi and Kolo Creek) sites, and analysed using standard methods for HMs (Lead (Pb), Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Manganese (Mn) and Iron (Fe). Biochemical analyses were also performed on tissue supernatant of LT. Concentrations (mg/kg) of HMs in soil (LT in parenthesis) ranged as follows.............................................................................................
